SHF162 – Device Support
This course focuses on the essential skills needed to support and troubleshoot a wide range of devices in the ITenvironment. Students will begin by learning about hard drives and other storage devices, including installation,maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques. The course then covers input/output (I/O) devices, such as keyboards,mice, displays, and fingerprint readers, providing students with the knowledge to support and resolve issues withperipheral devices. In the third lesson, students will explore mobile device support, addressing the unique challenges ofsmartphones, tablets, and other portable technologies. The course concludes with supporting printers, where studentswill gain the skills to manage and troubleshoot printing devices, a common task in IT roles. This course preparesstudents to handle the diverse range of devices they will encounter in the field.
