EPT166 – Fundamentals of Cardiac Arrhythmias and Pacemaker Technology
This entry-level course covers the fundamentals of cardiac arrhythmias, including the major classifications and atrial arrhythmias. Students will learn to differentiate between premature junctional complexes and accelerated junctional rhythms, as well as identify the QRS complex differences in ventricular tachycardia and fibrillation. The course also explains pulseless electrical activity vs. asystole, pacemaker spike identification on ECGs, and the basics of pacemakers and implantable defibrillators.
