Unitech Formalizes Partnership with INGRAIN AI to Power Its AI-Integrated Technical Support Specialist Program

Unitech Training Academy has formalized an academic partnership with Bizzuka, Inc. to infuse AI training into the Unitech AI-Integrated Technical Support Specialist (AITSS) program.

This marks the first time any career college has embedded the INGRAIN AI Frameworks, The AI Strategy Canvas® and Scalable Prompt Engineering®, into curriculum that will prepare students for technical support roles in AI-augmented workplaces.

INGRAIN AI TM widely regarded as a leader in applied AI education and prompt engineering, and its frameworks form the instructional foundation for AI adoption in technical support and IT environments.

Created by John W. Munsell, author of INGRAIN AI and CEO of Bizzuka, the frameworks are rapidly gaining recognition as the gold standard for teaching employees how to use generative AI tools in business settings at scale. Through this partnership, Unitech students will gain hands-on experience with the same instructional tools used at organizations adapting their operations to generative AI technologies.

“Unitech is the very first institution authorized to teach our principles. We’ve trained professors at major universities and have implementations worldwide in Australia, New Zealand, England, and Sweden. Unitech is leading the way in vocational education, and what makes this partnership significant is that we’re teaching uniformly. Students won’t just learn AI skills, they’ll learn the same gold-standard frameworks used by enterprises globally, ensuring they can walk into any workplace and immediately contribute,” said Munsell.

The curriculum includes skill development in scalable prompt engineering, AI strategy implementation, and practical application of AI tools in help desk and IT support scenarios. Students learn to use AI while maintaining technical accuracy and customer service standards.

The AITSS program, already launched and fully online, will continue to expand its instructional approach through this collaboration.

“The partnership reinforces Unitech’s focus on future-ready workforce training and positions graduates for competitive roles in a rapidly evolving tech landscape. Together, we’re shaping a pipeline of IT professionals who are equipped to innovate, lead, and contribute meaningfully to the digital economy,” said Noah Brandon, Unitech Training Academy President.

The AITSS program represents the initial phase of a broader institutional strategy. Unitech plans to incorporate AI education across all training programs, responding to employer expectations that entry-level workers arrive with functional AI literacy and applied prompt engineering skills.

Choosing a career in IT is about more than just working with computers — it’s about solving problems, keeping systems running, and helping people succeed in today’s digital world. IT support specialists are the front line of technology, making sure that businesses, schools, hospitals, and organizations can stay connected and secure.

What Is an IT Support Specialist?

An IT Support Specialist is the go-to problem-solver when technology doesn’t work the way it should. From setting up devices to troubleshooting software issues, IT specialists help teams stay productive and connected.

What’s new today is how much artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the role. By combining IT knowledge with AI fluency, support specialists can diagnose issues faster, automate workflows, and deliver smarter solutions.

Demand for IT Support Specialists

Technology is at the heart of every industry, which means IT support jobs aren’t going anywhere. In fact, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a growing rate through 2032 for computer support specialists.

For young adults and early millennials looking for career stability, flexibility, and room to grow, IT support is an excellent entry point. Many roles only require a short training program or certification, giving you the chance to start working in tech quickly without spending years in school.

What Does a Medical Office Assistant Do?

If you’re looking for a healthcare career that’s flexible, rewarding, and built for people who enjoy helping others, becoming a Medical Office Assistant could be the perfect fit.

Medical Office Assistants are often the first point of contact in a clinic, hospital, or doctor’s office. They welcome patients, manage records, and keep the office running smoothly, all while playing a vital role in creating a positive patient experience.

Unitech Training Academy offers a 100% online Medical Office Assistant program designed for students in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. With this program, you’ll gain the administrative and healthcare knowledge you need to take your first step into the medical field.

The Duties of a Medical Office Assistant

Medical Office Assistants are the backbone of a medical office, ensuring that both the business and patient care sides of healthcare run smoothly. Their work blends administrative responsibilities with occasional support to clinical teams, depending on the setting. A day in this role may include:

  • Welcoming patients and managing check-in and check-out processes to create a smooth first impression
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments, procedures, and surgeries while keeping provider calendars organized
  • Maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHRs) and updating patient information in compliance with HIPAA and privacy laws
  • Answering phones and patient questions, often providing the first level of support before a physician or nurse steps in
  • Processing billing, coding, and insurance claims to ensure providers are reimbursed and patients understand their responsibilities
  • Ordering, stocking, and organizing medical and office supplies so clinics are fully equipped each day
  • Coordinating communication between patients, physicians, and specialists, helping the care team stay aligned
  • Guiding patient flow through the office so providers can stay on schedule and patients feel cared for throughout their visit

Depending on the medical office, Medical Office Assistants may also be trained on specific in-office procedures to best assist practitioners and patients, such as preparing exam rooms or helping staff during patient care. These skills vary by workplace and are provided under the guidance of the healthcare team.

Skills Required for the Medical Office Assistant Role

To succeed in this role, Medical Office Assistants need more than just technical knowledge, they also need strong people and organizational skills.

Communication

Medical Office Assistants are the link between patients, doctors, and other staff. Clear, professional communication helps keep everyone on the same page.

Problem-Solving

Healthcare moves fast, and situations can change quickly. Medical Office Assistants need to stay flexible and find solutions that keep patient care moving forward.

Time Management

Balancing phone calls, appointments, and records means staying organized. Medical Office Assistants need to manage multiple priorities without letting details slip through the cracks.

Technical Skills

From scheduling software to electronic health records, Medical Office Assistants use digital tools every day. Comfort with technology is key to staying efficient.

Training Offered at Unitech Training Academy

At Unitech, we know many students are looking for career training that works with their busy lives. That’s why our Medical Office Assistant program is 100% online, giving you the flexibility of remote learning without sacrificing structure or support.

In this program, you’ll study:

  • HIPAA regulations, healthcare laws, ethics, and professionalism

  • Medical office management, scheduling, and patient accounts
  • Insurance types, billing principles, and coding basics
  • Communication, diversity, and decision-making in healthcare environments

You’ll also complete a simulated practicum experience using tools like SimChart® for electronic health records, giving you realistic practice in administrative healthcare tasks.

And because Unitech supports your success from classroom to career, you’ll also receive career services training, including practice certification exams, résumé building, and interview prep — so by the time you graduate, you’ll feel ready to step into your first healthcare role.

Unitech Training Academy Approved to Launch Fully Online AI-Integrated IT Program

Unitech Training Academy has received approval from the Louisiana Board of Regents to offer its newly revised AI-Integrated Information Technology program, expanding opportunities for students to gain in-demand technical skills while learning to responsibly apply artificial intelligence in support roles.

The 550-hour program, AI-Integrated Technical Support Specialist, is now open for enrollment and is delivered entirely online and designed to prepare students for entry-level IT positions and the CompTIA Tech+ certification. Over six months, students engage in interactive online labs, real-world troubleshooting simulations, and a capstone project that begins in the first week and culminates in a polished portfolio showcasing job-ready expertise.

The updated curriculum blends traditional IT foundations—hardware, software, networking, and security—with AI-driven workflows that accelerate diagnostics, automate repetitive tasks, and strengthen decision-making. Students also receive training in Microsoft 365 administration, cybersecurity, customer service, digital communication, and professional readiness, ensuring a well-rounded education in both technical and workplace skills.

“This approval represents a milestone for Unitech Online and the future of IT education,” said Jacob Landry, President of Unitech Online. “By integrating AI into every stage of the curriculum, we’re not only teaching students how to support technology but also how to use technology more intelligently and ethically to serve people. And by offering this program fully online, we’re making those skills accessible to students wherever they are.”

Noah Brandon, President of Unitech Training Academy, added: “When we began revising this program, we asked leaders in IT to contribute and tell us what the future of the field looks like. We listened carefully, and their feedback is now built into this curriculum. Unitech is committed to developing people and preparing graduates for roles that demand adaptability, problem-solving, and the confidence to apply AI responsibly in real-world environments.”

The Lafayette Regional Technology Council was one group that helped contribute to this program revamp. Formed earlier this year, the LRTC wants to strengthen and grow Lafayette’s technology ecosystem by supporting collaboration and growth within the local tech community through programming focused on talent development, connections & knowledge sharing, business growth, and advocacy.

“The Lafayette Regional Technology Council was proud to advise Unitech on how to best integrate AI training into its IT curriculum. Helping local educators stay ahead of emerging technologies ensures our regional talent remains competitive, while also strengthening the overall tech community we’re building here in Acadiana,” said Ben Johnson, LRTC Chairman.

The fully online AI-Integrated IT program will be offered through Unitech Online, making it accessible to students across Louisiana. The program is expected to start on Sept. 30.
