ELC101 – Electrical Safety
Electrical safety highlights safety topics such as personal safety, tool and equipment safety, hazardous working environments, and standards for safety organizations such as OSHA and NFPA 70E in a way that is easy for the novice reader to understand.
ELC102 – National Electrical Code NEC®
This course will provide the information needed to understand and apply the National Electrical Code ®. Detailed information will be presented in a format that is easy to understand and apply in the workforce.
ELC103 – Electrical Wiring for Residential I
This course will guide students with basic requirements of the National Electrical Code ®, then continuing on to the more advanced wiring methods. Students will learn safety requirements for wiring a residential job, equipment, tools, and supplies needed to begin the residential job, reading residential construction plans, and grounding and bonding
ELC104 – Electrical Wiring for Residential II
This course will guide the student room-by-room through the common wiring of a single-family residence and builds a foundation of knowledge by starting with the basic requirements of the National Electrical Code ®, then continuing on to the more advanced wiring methods.
ELC105 – Electrical Wiring for Commercial I
This course will guide students in how to practice safety standards in the commercial workplace and reading commercial building plans and specifications. The student will know how to prepare with the right equipment, tools, and supplies for the commercial job. The student will also learn how to plan for future growth of a commercial facility and plan accordingly by making load calculations in conformance with the National Electrical Code ®.
ELC106 – Electrical Wiring for Commercial II
This course will guide the students to the basics of commercial wiring by offering insight into the planning of a typical commercial installation, carefully demonstrating how the load requirements are converted into branch circuits then to feeders, and finally into the building’s main electrical service.
ELC107 – Industrial Wiring I
This course will prepare students to have the knowledge of what the industrial electrician is responsible for in the installation of electrical service, power, lighting, and special systems in new construction. Preparing for the industrial job site, proper tools and equipment needed, and supplies needed while following the National Electrical Code ® standards and guidelines.
ELC108 – Industrial Wiring II
This course is a step-by-step walk through of an industrial building, providing the basics on installing an industrial wiring system. The student will be able to work with specialized systems, read plans and site work specs, and apply concepts of each wiring process.

As part of the Electrical program, students train in fully equipped labs, simulating real job-site conditions and tools. While our program does not lead to licensure, it gives graduates a head start as electrical trainees—positioning them to train under licensed electricians with a solid foundation of industry knowledge, work ethic, and professionalism. Around the program midpoint, students complete a career assessment. Coordinators use this to guide personalized planning and keep students on track toward their goals.
Resume Development (60 Days Before Graduation)
Resume building begins 60 days before graduation. Students receive templates and one-on-one support to craft polished, job-ready resumes.
Mock Interviews & Professionalism Coaching
Before clinicals, students participate in mock interviews and receive feedback. This helps sharpen communication skills and builds confidence in professional settings.
Professional Seminars & Career Development
Students attend four seminars on job readiness, professionalism, and workplace expectations. These sessions prepare students to confidently enter the workforce.

Our traditional model Electrical program combines essential knowledge with hands-on experience, preparing students for success in entry-level roles within the electrical industry. Our curriculum includes 300 hours of learning/lectures and 180 hours of hands-on shop/lab training to ensure you get the practical experience you need.
This program combines classroom learning with hands-on experience in our electrical labs, giving students both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. You’ll gain a deep understanding of electrical concepts while applying them through immersive, interactive lab exercises, preparing you for real-world tasks in the field.
You’ll also get the opportunity to participate in an externship, giving you valuable field experience before graduation. From your first day of training to your next steps after graduation, you’ll have the support of Unitech’s instructors and Career Services team every step of the way.

Unitech’s traditional programs are held fully on campus, providing a structured, in-person learning environment led by experienced instructors. Students attend class at one of our physical campuses, where all lectures, labs, and hands-on training are completed during scheduled class hours. This format is ideal for those who thrive in face-to-face instruction and want direct access to classroom resources, tools, and real-time support. With a consistent routine and immersive, skill-based learning, traditional programs offer a focused path to building confidence and career-ready experience.
