Why a Dental Assisting Program?
Dental assisting is different from the duties of a dental hygienist in that the assistant often works side-by-side with the dentist. As such, dental assistants perform many basic but important duties.
- Sterilization and handling of equipment.
- Comforting patients.
- Keeping the mouth clean.
- Making impressions of teeth.
- Obtaining and developing x-rays.
- Performing front desk duties.
