Unitech’s Massage Therapy Program trains and prepares students to be effective massage therapists, competent in the fundamentals of body structure and function as well as a variety of massage practices, tailored to populations that students can encounter when working in this field. Upon graduating and obtaining their Massage Therapy Diploma, our students will have gained the knowledge and skills needed to take their licensing exam. Our newly redesigned curriculum covers what our students need to know to go forward to work in a variety of public and private settings such as spas, sports facilities, massage therapists’ offices, hospitals, and more!

What is Included
- Our curriculum includes 625 hours of in-person, in-class, instructor-supervised course studies.
- Through lectures and labs, over 400 hours of our Massage Therapy Program are dedicated to the study of massage therapy techniques and clinical practicum-related modalities.
- We include over 180 hours of lab time dedicated to anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, and massage therapy foundations and practices.
- Unitech Massage Therapy students complete 120 hours of Clinical Practice under the direction of a Licensed Massage Therapist before graduating our program.
- Hands-on training prepares students to be ready for their clinicals and certification.

Unitech’s program provides you with the skills necessary for landing an entry-level position as a massage therapist. Upon completion, you’re able to sit for the national exam for massage therapy. Massage therapy is the perfect career for someone who loves helping people, enjoys the flexibility to work in a variety of settings, and likes to continue learning and honing in on skills. Massage therapists work with clients from athletes to expecting mothers to oncology patients to the elderly, working to best suit each client’s individual needs. Our students go on to help many different types of people and cases in different settings such as spas, wellness centers, hospitals, sports facilities, or even starting their own practice! At Unitech, our students learn to perform many of the following as they go through the program:
- How to evaluate and discuss symptoms, medical history, and desired results with clients
- Techniques for pregnancy, infants, children, geriatric clients, disabilities, mental disorders, oncology, sports, hospital, and hospice massage
- Eastern Practices (shiatsu, acupressure, Thai massage, reflexology, lomi lomi), hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, and energetic practices (reiki, polarity)
- Ethics, state laws, and professional standards of massage therapy as well as business planning, marketing, and accounting.
- Practical application of your knowledge, with supervised massages under a Licensed Massage Therapist, integrating skills learned throughout the program.
